As winter slowly steps aside and spring peeks thro As winter slowly steps aside and spring peeks through the mountains, Bini Fagli 2026 fills the Seraj Valley with color, rhythm, and belief. 🌿✨ Celebrated across Tirthan and Banjar during the month of Phagun, this ancient Himalayan festival marks the victory of good over evil and welcomes the end of the harsh winter season. Villages come alive with music, rituals, and community gatherings that have been carried forward for generations. The most striking part? The sacred masks. 🪵🎭 Hand carved from wood and painted in bold colors, these masks represent protective spirits and divine forces. When villagers wear them during ritual dances, it is believed they drive away negative energies, bless the land, and protect the community for the year ahead. The performances are not just cultural displays, they are acts of faith. Drums echo through the valley, grass costumes sway with every step, and local devtas are honored with deep respect. It feels raw, spiritual, and beautifully untouched by time. If you plan to witness it in mid February, remember this is a sacred celebration. Always ask before photographing close shots of masks or ritual moments. Respect first, camera later. Some festivals entertain you.
