Festival goers will have the chance to charter a helicopter to travel to the valley festival!
This year Coachella is stepping up its game to give attendees a chance to arrive in style in private helicopters. Blade, a company known as the “Uber of helicopters” has just been announced as Coachella’s official aviation partner, in collaboration with Uber. The company usually provides shuttle services to and from major New York airports and to vacation spots like Martha’s Vineyard and The Hamptons.

The rides can be booked via either Blade or Uber and will cost $4,170 for a charter, which can sit up to six people working out to about $695 each. Uber has been known to provide helicopter rides earlier to major festivals like Cannes or Sundance but this is the first time it’s partnering with Blade. Fliers have to first head on over to the Van Nuys Airport in LA from where the chopper will transport them to the festival in Indio. Uber will provide SUVs to pick up the passengers and drop them off at the airport and is also offering an SUV back to LA for $399 for those who reserve a chopper.
