Get ready for a new experience! The British Council is delighted to bring the experimental collaborative group Yorkston Thorne Khan to India for the first time ever!

Yorkston Thorne Khan, known for undertaking a dynamic range of sounds and songs, received rave reviews for their debut album, ‘Everything Sacred’ when it released in January 2016 on Domino records. It was even called “bravely original Indian-folk-jazz fusion” by The Guardian.

And now, the group is all set to rock the country playing in four different cities; namely Pune, Delhi, Kolkata and Patna, reaching out to a whole newer  audience than ever before .

Consisting of James Yorkston, an influential singer/songwriters on the Scottish folk scene”, Jon Thorne, best known as a jazz double bass player with electro outfit Lamb and Suhail Yusuf Khan, award-winning sarangi player and classical singer from New Delhi; the band is all set to introduce Indian music lovers to a new sound.
The tour that will be happening in four cities from the 22nd to the 29th of November; has also being supported by a number of partnet brands including Delhi International Arts Festival, Phoenix City Mall, Littlei, Hotel Hindustan International, Calcutta School of Music and Arthshila.
