27-year-old Sarthak Sardana a.k.a. Sartek might sign a deal with giants Sony Music.
The Delhi-based EDM artist is a familiar name in the country’s electronic dance music scene. And by familiar, we mean he’s mega popular. After opening for EDM giants like Martin Garrix and Paul Van Dyk at popular music festivals, he might finally get the big scale recognition he deserves in the form of a very very exclusive contract. Rumours say that he’s one step closer to signing up with Sony Music, the guys behind Calvin Harris, The Chainsmokers, Major Lazer and many more. This will also make him the first Indian EDM producer to sign up with the record.

Leaving behind his chartered accountant preparations to pursue his love for electronic music, Sartek has indeed come a long way. He credits watching Ferry Corsten perform live in 2007 as his inspiration to discover electronic music further. “I joined an academy in Delhi in 2009 to pursue my passion and love for dance music while attending my CA classes,” he told IANS.
