1. Brave – Sara Bareilles

Released on April 23, 2013, “Brave” was a commercial success from Sara Bareilles’ album, ‘The Blessed Unrest’. It topped the charts and received platinum certification in many countries. It was penned down by the singer from the perspective of one friend encouraging another to come out of the closet but sure, it has a special meaning for everyone. 2. Pocketful Of Sunshine – Natasha Bedingfield

Bedingfield noted “Pocketful of Sunshine” as her favorite song from her “Strip Me Away” album, in 2011 as it adapts dance-pop tunes and centres on escaping from one’s troubles. “Ride” is a song written and recorded by the American duo Twenty One Pilots from their album ‘Blurryface’. It was a sleeper hit and peaked at No. 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100, making them the third rock act with simultaneous top five Hot 100 singles in the chart’s 58-year history, in 2016! “I’m falling so I’m taking my time on my ride/Oh, I’m falling so I’m taking my time on my ride” goes the song and tells us how we are not the only ones going through a hard time.
6. Up&Up – Coldplay
The music of this song by Coldplay is heavenly enough to uplift you, even through your darkest times. You will be assured that we will all be okay as Chris Martin chants “I know we’re gonna get it, get it together somehow”. Time to go Up and Up and Up. The music video is nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Music Video at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.
7. Uptown Funk – Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars
As the song says – “Don’t believe me just watch!”. It became the second best-selling single of 2015 and one of the best-selling songs of all time. “Uptown Funk” spent 14 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the charts in several other countries and has also won two Grammy Awards. Phew! That’s not all! This catchy song has accumulated 2.1 billion views on YouTube as of now. This is one of the most played videos of all time, on top of being a fun song that quickly puts you in a good mood.
8. Fight Song – Rachel Platten
“I might only have one match/But I can make an explosion” and “I don’t really care if nobody else believes ‘Cause I’ve still got a lot of fight left in me”. “Fight song” is probably one of the best motivational songs in the history of Earth! Released as a single on February 19, 2015, this song has sold two million copies in the United States, earning a double platinum certification. All things aside, we have never met a person who said the song is anything short of amazing.

All you need in life is this song on repeat and your troubles will flow away. “September”, by the American funk band Earth, Wind & Fire, told us “Love was changing the minds of pretenders/While chasing the clouds away” in 1978 and it will forever stay with us!
