A topless woman protester was escorted out of Knockanstockan Festival for… erm… protesting topless.

An avid supporter of the #FreeTheNipple campaign that has garnered worldwide attention, Carina Fitzpatrick took to Facebook to explain and highlight double standards against women.

On RTE Radio One, she talked about how Saturday was a “lovely, sunny day” and there were topless men “everywhere”.

Amidst several men heckling and taunting her for going topless at the festival while being escorted by security guards, there was a bunch of supporters, and Carina thanked them in her lengthy Facebook post.

“Thank you to all the people who expressed their outrage. Thank you for your words and symbols of understanding and support. Thank you to all the people who went to find me a new wristband
Thank you to the performers who made dedications. Thank you for sharing your stories and breaking your silence”
