The annual Awakenings Festival is the biggest techno festival in the Netherlands. Venue is recreation area Spaarnwoude between Amsterdam and Haarlem.Β The name Awakenings has to do with the resurrection of Jesus. First Awakenings was Easter organizer Rocco Veenboer realized he did not know what it meant Passover. After he discovered that is celebrated at Easter include the resurrection of Jesus, the name originated Awakenings
