Let’s be honest, most of things we indulge in at festivals are the same things we complain about. Be it being overly drunk, to taking selfies and shoving each other, here’s a list of things you know you’ve done at least once
1. We are selfie and Instagram obsessed
This may prove difficult, but let’s all try to actually enjoy the celebration of music, art and debauchery around us and NOT through a camera lens. Mhhm, kay?
2.We wear some prettyΒ uncomfortable/outrageous clothes in a bid to fit in
Flower headbands, sunglasses when it’s dark(?!), heels, T-shirts with terrible slogans – the list is endless.
3. We push, shove, push, shove…
What is the bloody hurry? You’re already at the festival!
4. We never really know who’s on stage
……and hence the inane conversation.
For example :
“Uhm, which song is this?”
“Dude, are these guys new?”
“What the hell is a Tame Impala, anyway ?”
“OMG, THAT VOCALIST LOOKS LIKE A RAPIST”
“I would totally hook up with him though.”
5. We make a giant mess of the porta-loos
You have to agree, we have absolutely no regard for other people using the porta-loos, so we mess them up the best we can.
But we have the audacity to complain about the ‘management’ and their lack of concern for the portaloos. LOL.
6. We’re too cool to undergo frisking
As much as we hate being frisked, you have to admit about necessary it is. Forget the drugs, you really do not want a dude with a butchers knife or explosives casually walking into your favourite festival arena.
So why complain and bitch at people who are just trying to do their job?
7. We get too drunk, too soon
We must admit, sloppy drunks make for the best after-festival stories. By all means, go ahead and ruin your experience by being a outrageous drunk, just don’t project that shit onto your friends, pls.
8. We think music festivalsΒ = Free-for-all-drug-abuse
In our chase for the ultimate high, we forget about the important things, y’know? Like enjoying some good music with some equally good people.
9.Β We absolutely love to litter
We’ll bitch and moan about people around us throwing their garbage everywhere but will be the first person to chuck their drink cups on the ground when no one’s looking.
You’re fooling nobody, bro.
