Brand: A Second Coming was a documentary presented at the festival this year. Though Brand himself didn’t show up to watch it, praises for the film have been wafting on the world wide web.

4.  J. Cole’s Phenomenal Act

J. Cole’s performance, we hear, stole the show. Having previously featured monumental artists like Kanye West and Adele at SXSW, J. Cole should have been a step down in terms of popularity, but his act was deemed brilliant and exhilarating by those present to witness it. Or at least nobody petitioned to get him off the stage.

5.  Miley Cyrus’s Surprise Appearance

Bringing the party with her, Miley Cyrus made a surprise appearance with her song “We Can’t Stop”. Dazzling the crowd alongside Will Made It, the young pop artist also rapped a bunch of Nicki Minaj’s lyrics.

All this and more made this year’s edition of SXSW unforgettable. So keep this mind before next year comes around. Peace out, folks.
