Makes 12 dumplings 

Ingredients – 

Wrappers –

1 cup whole wheat flour

1 tsp baking soda 

1.5 tsp refined oil



Filling – 

1 carrot minced

4-5 mushrooms minced

4-5 green beans minced

4-5 tbsp minced cabbage 

1 tbsp minced garlic

1 tsp light soy

1 tsp toasted sesame oil (optional)

2 tbsp minced spring onion 

Salt + pepper 

Method – 

Make the dough and rest it for 30 min. 

For the filling – add all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. 

Tip  – Make sure all the vegetables are chopped very very finely, they will cook while the dumplings steam. In case the vegetables are not chopped finely – sauté them for 2 min in a non stick pan before filling the dumplings. 

Roll the dough very thin and cut rounds , add 1 tbsp of the filling and pleat it very neatly , using water on your finger to seal both edges. Steam for 10 min or till done . Serve hot with dipping sauce of your choice . I prefer a simple light soy + chilli oil mix.
