As reported earlier by The Sherp, there has been further development in the “Tomorrowland expanding to India” story.
Its incredible how quickly the electronic music culture has latched on to India since itโs introduction, further exemplifying Tomorrowlandโs decision to view India as a fit destination to host a festival of itโs scale.
Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekarย broke the news , โApart from the proposal received from Percept Company and Supersonic to host musical events in month of December, we have also received a proposal of one of the most notable global musical festival group โTomorrowlandโย . The event organisers have approached us and have shown interest to host the event in mid of January but the responsibility for identification of land will have to be borne by the group since they require 3.5 lakh sq mts of land which is difficult toย identify.โ
Having debuted in 2005, Tomorrowland has out grown many electronic festivals to become the worldโs most attended electronic music gathering. Having already expanded into USA & Brazil, the festival has set itโs gaze on an Indian edition.
