The frontman of theΒ UK Prog Rock band Porcupine Tree just took to Facebook,Β revealingΒ his plans to tour India this year!

The last time Porcupine Tree performed in India was at the Mood Indigo festival of IIT Bombay back in 2010. Over 5000 people attended that insane night which saw the band performing songs like Occam’s RazorΒ and The Blind House from their 2009 superhit album The Incident.Β Though Porcupine Tree went on hiatus after 2010, Steven Wilson has been busy with his solo project and if everything turns out fine, he will be coming down to India.

According to his post on Facebook, Steven Wilson will be touring across multiple European festivals Β before heading to India, Australia and New Zealand. He also spoke about his upcoming albumΒ which he is aiming to make distinctly different and is scheduled to be recorded by the end of the year.

Steven Wilson is an English musician and record producer, most associated with the progressive rock genre. Currently a solo artist, he became known as the founder, lead guitarist, singer and songwriter of the band Porcupine Tree, as well as being a member of several other bands. He has also worked with artists such as Opeth, King Crimson, Pendulum, Jethro Tull, XTC, Yes, Marillion, Orphaned Land, OSI, Fish, and Anathema.

Though his website has already listed tour dates for Europe, Australia and New Zealand, the Indian dates are still glaringly missing. This means we still have to wait for a confirmation but hopefully it’s soon!

Till then enjoy some of Steven Wilson’s musical genius here :
