The Sherp got the incredibly talented Sahej Bakshi to curate a playlist of his favourite tunes, just for you!

Branded unanimously as India’s Hottest Electronica act (and for good reason) , Sahej Bakshi’s solo project  Dualist Inquiry has been making waves and impressing many ever since it’s inception in 2011. Dualist Inquiry’s sound of fresh and catchy guitar based rock fused with electronica has become the most easily recognisable independent music. In the past few years, Sahej has produced a  debut release, a couple of bootleg remixes and a critically acclaimed full length album, Doppelganger. 2014 has been just exciting with newest compilation ‘Subterra’ that was released this February followed by a brand new (some kind of awesome) single ‘Lumina’ that scored itself a pretty cool video!

Anyway, here’s the list of music that excites and inspires him. Trust me, you’re gonna love it.

1. Gui Boratto – Beautiful Life : The perfect sunset tune, I drop this every time I’m playing a poolside Sundowner set, and it nails the mood every single time.

2. Keep Rocking – Howla – It doesn’t get funkier and more energetic than this, I just love the “get up and dance” mood of this song.

3. Jon Hopkins – Vessel :  This song captivated me the first time I heard it. It’s really different from the music I make, but I really like faraway influences showing up in my songs. Jon Hopkins is a crazy musician.

4. Alex Metric – Scandalism – I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it. It reminds of the space ‘Qualia’ exists in, and I couldn’t have felt more comfortable playing this song on loop over and over again.

5. B-Side – Dope Rider (feat. Kimberly Kennedy) – This UK Producer kills it with this song, it’s so good.

6. Neon Steve – Tell Me Who : It’s hard to describe this one, you just have to hear it to know what I mean. This song is insane.

7. Krafty Kuts – Tricka Technology : Krafty Kuts is one of my favorite DJs in the world, he’s a ‘true’ DJ who specializes in digging up crazy records and stitching together DJ mixes, which he’s famous for.

8. Chrome Sparks – Send the Pain On – I totally got obsessed with this song when I first heard it. Perfect mood setter.

9. You Got To Change – Griz  – Griz produces a lot of banging tunes, but this one is his moody indulgence. He’s one of my favorite producers in the world.
