Bristol was the host for the second edition of the hugely artistic and successful Upfest 2016!
The 2015 edition of the event saw over 300 artists from more than 25 countries flock down to Bristol over a span of 3 days to cover the walls of the city in the most original and imaginative art one could think of. The fest which celebrates the beauty of graffiti artists and their art with open hands invites these visionaries to come and explore the canvas of 30,000 sq. ft of open walls in Bristol! The city of Bristol has been home to one of the biggest art names in the world right now, Banksy. Another reason, why budding artists hone in on the vibrant city to take part in this glorious celebration of spray can paint and illustrations.

The beauty about graffiti art being, some individuals choose to unleash all their creativity through some hard core visuals and heavily-detailed art, while on the other hand someone might use the most simplistic imagery to convey the strongest of messages.
Someone spreading some love for all the immigrants that are on the move these days and some support for all their problems.
Although highly frowned upon by law enforcement authorities and a lot of people in general, graffiti has been one of the most sough after and widely recognized form of art all throughout the world.
The art is usually made on movable boards and temporary hoardings so that it can be moved around through the streets to showcase at different areas. While some of the artwork is directly done on the walls of buildings. These artworks then remain on those walls till the next year.
The people who visited the event also had their fair share of pictures of hard to find art among the smaller streets of the city. And they weren’t any less brilliant!
It goes without saying that this years edition of Upfest 2016 was nothing short of a success and everyone got to see some of the best individualistic art being put out. We’re sure that it’s just going to keep getting bigger and better from now on!
