Mumbai boy Vivian Fernandes, known by  his stage name Divine, will perform at Bacardi NH7 Weekender this Sunday.

Born and raised in the gullies of Mumbai, this young and rising hip-hop star is already climbing heights we couldn’t have imagined. And now, he’s all set to light up the Bacardi NH7 Weekender stage this Sunday and we’re super excited! Popularly known as the ‘voice of the streets’, this Sony Music artist narrates the stories of his childhood and tales from the neighbourhood he grew up in through his music; giving voice and paying homage to the attributes of the city.

Not only will the artist be performing at the festival for the second time, but this time he will also be treating his fans to a unique collaboration with Indian-American songwriter, rapper and recording artist from California, Raja Kumari. Known for her blend of Indian classical music with contemporary hip-hop motifs, Kumari has collaborated with international stars such as  Gwen Stefani, Iggy Azalea and Fifth Harmony!

Sounds like this is going to be an insane collaboration. Oh, and Divine is going to even perform his major hits including Mere Gully Mein, Jungle Raja, Jungli Sher.

Speaking on the event, Divine said, NH7 is like performing at home turf, it’s always fun. Opening for DJ Premier is massive for me and sharing stage with Raja Kumari will also be a smasher. So Public log, tayyar?”

Rohan Jha, Lead Pop Sony Music India added on, “It is a huge opportunity for DIVINE to open for a hip hop producer of this stature. This is the 2nd time he is performing at NH7 and we are excited with the multiple on-stage collaborations Divine is doing this time – including one with Raja Kumari. It will be one memorable show.”

So be sure to watch out for the rising star at Bacardi NH7 Weekender this Sunday.
