Red Bull Music will begin 2018 on an exciting note.
For a while now India has been exploring musical genres in leaps and bounds, and 2017 definitely had its share with Red Bull Music bringing down talented artists from the world over to showcase their musical craft to an eager audience. This year they brought down Soichi Terada and Weird Together, released The Sine Painter’s debut EP and also collaborated with Magnetic Fields festival to bring down legendary DJs like Ben UFO, Sassy J, Jayda G, Willow. And now, 2018 promises to shoot off to a great start, thanks to Red Bull Music inviting the iconic New York techno party, label and podcast, The Bunker for a two-city tour. This tour is being planned in association with Indian promoters Regenerate.
From January 17th to 21st, Red Bull Music Presents 15 Years of Bunker will celebrate 15 years of the one of NYCβs most well-known and loved parties. And, it’s all set to go down in Mumbai and Bengaluru.
The two-city tour will celebrate The Bunkerβs long-standing relationship with techno and showcase several activities which include Red Bull Music Academy lectures with Bryan Kasenic (founder & creator of The Bunker), a Studio Science session with Antenes, Showcases at Mumbai and Bengaluru, and Indiaβs first Red Bull Radio episode of The Bunker featuring Mumbai-based producer-DJs Bhish & Chabb.
Since it started in 2003, The Bunker has featured adventurous electronic music line-ups which bring together fringe artists who also know how to get people to move effortlessly on the dancefloor. As one of the first American party promoters to focus on playing host to underground, avant-garde European electronic musicians and DJs, The Bunker New York eventually became a record label and slowly started hosting its own showcases at clubs around the world.
You can look forward to catching Bryan Kasenic, who is also a DJ and Red Bull Radio host and The Bunker residents Mike Servito and Antenes.
