Here’s presenting Lufthansa’s Oktoberfest crew!

Germany’s biggest beer congregation is just a few days away. For those of you who don’t know,  or live under a rock Oktoberfest is pretty much the largest beer festival in the world, held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. It is a 16-day affair and runs from late September to the first weekend in October. More than six million people from around the world attend the event every year.  The Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture, having been held since 1810.

Having said that, Lufthansa’s airlines has taken an extra effort to bring the experience and vibe of Oktoberfest to flight’s heading to Germany during the season. Yup, flight crews will be dressed in traditional Bavarian costumes.

Dubbed the Trachten Crew, you fill find 14 of these Lufthansa personnel handing our pretzels and greeting passengers with a cheerful “Grüß Gott” on specific flights in and out of Munich.

While the men will be donned in traditional Janker pants and a Bavarian jacket, the women will look like quintessential Oktoberfest bar-maids.
