As Diplo and Elliphant make their way to neighbouring Pakistan in February, is the Mad Decent Block Party India debut now totally possible?

Diplo’s Mad Decent Block Party has been North America’s mainstay electronic music event, and given Diplo’s deep affiliation with India, one would be inclined to believe that the property is headed to our country soon. And with major hints coming in from all quarters, we cannot help but be excited for it. First, a major tour dates leak on Gorgon City’s part, where they were put up, enough to tease us, and were then taken down again. The dates showed that Gorgon City would perform in India as part of the Mad Decent Block Party from February 19 to 21.

In a fresh twist to the tale, Diplo has officially announced plans to perform in Pakistan in, wait for it, also February with fellow Mad Decent producer Elliphant, and Pakistani talent, electronic producer Talal Qureshi and rapper Adil Omar. It wouldn’t be a stretch to believe that Diplo and Elliphant would make a detour to India, given the geographical proximity between the two countries, but that’s not all.

Yesterday, taking the speculation a step further, Sunburn and Oji (yes, the same people responsible for bringing down Major Lazer), announced that they have something in store for the Indian audience in, quite obviously, February, during the very same dates of 19 to 21.

All of this makes it too much of a coincidence to ignore. Are you guys as wired as we are right now?
