David Lynch has announced the Festival of Disruption, a two-day event taking place October 8-9 at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles. The festival will featureย musical performances, talks, exhibits, and film screenings, along with a photography exhibit by Lynch himself.
Artists slated to perform at the festival are Robert Plant, St. Vincent, Jon Hopkins, Questlove, Sensational Shape Shifters and a musical performance from Twin Peaksย featuring Sky Ferreira and Xiu Xiu. ‘Twin Peaks’ actors Kyle MacLachlan and Laura Dern, and architect Frank Gehry will be holding talks. The festival will also feature rare short films and videos shot by Lynch himself during a special screening.

Tickets for the festivalsย will go up on sale on June 24. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the David Lynch Foundation, whose mission is reducing toxic stress and trauma among at-risk populations, including victims of domestic violence, veterans suffering from PTSD, and undeserved urban youth, through the evidence-based Transcendental Meditation technique.
