The most luxurious desert festival is back!

Rajasthan’s Taalbelia Festival is the place to be this January. This round-the-clock exquisite residential festival will be taking place in the culturally-rich town of Mandawa, surrounded by grand forts that make it a sight for sore eyes.

Dualist Inquiry, Arjun Vagale, Divine, George Brooks, Grain, Ankur & The Ghalat Family, Indian Ocean, Nicholson, Parvaaz, Rajasthan Josh, Prem Joshua and Band, Shadow and Light, When Chai Met Toast, Soulmate, Sid Vashi and many more will take their place on the three stages at the festival and turn this four-day festival into an unforgettable experience.

We have devised the best plan for you to get to this festival on a budget, so you can spend the 26th to 29th of January at complete ease, nestling in your little world of luxury in Mandawa.

1. Festival Tickets

The festival tickets are retailing at INR 8,500 for the four-day festival. But, if you opt to spend your days at the gorgeous accommodation offered by Taalbelia, there is no separate festival ticket! If this isn’t already a steal, we don’t know what could be!

2. Reaching Rajasthan

Air tickets are a bit pricey around this time of the year, but people living in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru have some good flight options to Jaipur. The cheapest flights available via Skyscanner puts the average cost at approximately INR 6,700. Also, people from Delhi can opt to just drive down instead of taking a flight as the drive shouldn’t take you more than 4 and half hours. Considering the royal experience awaiting you, these prices shouldn’t pinch your pocket.

3. Getting To Mandawa

Mandawa is approximately three hours from the Jaipur airport. You could rent a car for the entire duration of the festival (which also makes sense if you want to explore the nearby towns). But if that option isn’t viable, you could catch a bus from the airport to Sikar and then catch a cab to Mandawa. This will roughly cost you around INR 600 for the bus and INR 800 for the cab.

4. The Stylish Stay

Being a residential festival, nothing makes perfect sense than spending every minute of your day and night at the festival. The festival has been crafted in such a way that you always have something to look forward to. The Luxury Swiss Tent can be booked at INR 35,000+service tax. Castle Mandawa, a fortress converted into a luxury hotel, offers three room options ranging from INR 40,000+service tax to INR 80,000+service tax. Whereas the Desert Resort, which has been recreated to resemble a Rajasthani village, offers four room options ranging from INR 40,000+service tax to INR 80,000+service tax.

5. Food And Beverages

The accommodation package includes a buffet breakfast for all four days of the festival. Mouth-watering meals will be available throughout the day as there will be an array of food stalls and bar counters at the venue. Shekhawati cuisine is the highlight of the festival and you must drop everything else to treat your taste buds to it.

6. The Total Cost

Finally, getting down to the math of it all, the rough estimate will be INR 6,700 (air fare) + INR 2,800 (way to Mandawa and back) + INR 17,500 (accommodation) + INR 8,000 (F&B) = INR 35,000 approx per person.

You don’t want to give this festival a miss if you want to start the new year on a fantastic note. Get your tickets here and make haste!
