Your rock dream-team is headed to Japan for the rock festival!
Fuji is back with Fuji Rock with a line-up that includes the cream of the crop in Rock music along with some international acts that have been making waves in recent time. The festival will be taking place from the 28th- 30th of July with acts like Gorillaz, Aphex Twin, Bjork, The XX, LCD Soundsystem, Lorde, Major Lazer, Bonobo, Queens Of the Stone Age and more! Check out the confirmed acts below:
The Naeba Ski Resort in Yuzawa will be the venue for the three glorious days of the festival and we’re sure it’s one for the ol’ bucket list! This is how you can make it to the festival without shelling out too much money:
1. Festival Tickets
The tickets for the 3 day entry to the festival is at approx. INR 24,233 (including taxes) which isn’t that bad! The entry will give one individual access to the festival site. Admission will be free for anyone under 15 years of age. Guess we all should start finding fake IDs just about now, eh?
2. Air Fare
The flight tickets for the journey from India to the land of the rising sun will be a bit on the heavier side. SkyScanner has some cheap options for your travel to the festival from Bombay and Delhi. See the options below:
The festival has its own camping accommodation options where they have, on an average, a number of guests every year. All you need is to buy the campsite ticket for INR 1,740 and pitch your own tent! There are a number of hotels in the area that you could try if you’ll need a bit more luxury since you’ve made it all the way to Japan.
4. Getting To the Festival
Even if you decide to camp out, you’ll need a way to get to the venue everyday! There is a shuttle bus for festival ticket holders that leaves from the east exit of the Echigo Yuzawa station for INR 290 but you also have the option to travel by local trains if you’re living in a hotel close by.
Rounding off everything on your list, the total cost for the trip so far (with the exact exchange rate) is INR 74,103 approx.
So what are you waiting for? Get those plans in gear!
