UMFβs 2013 stage fiasco comes back to bite them. (and Β the Swedes!)
Last year, prior to the UMF main stage set up β a massive LED panel collapsed on two workers on the night before the festival was supposed to kick off.
One of the men, whose legs were shattered by falling stage light is now suing the music festival.
Joey Green, an equipment technician, was installing the festival’s iconic LED lights on the main stage when one of the giant panels fell on him and several others. Green’s legs were crushed in the March 14, 2013 accident.
Hereβs a news report we scooped off YouTube:
Green isn’t just suing Ultra, however. He’s also suing a host of other people over the accident, including Swedish House Mafia.
Hereβs what the Miami-Dade County Clerkβs defendants list looks like, quite clearly mentioning the festival as well as the three Swedes:
Itβs strange as to why Swedish house Mafia is being sued over something like this. They were probably conducting the sound check during the incident -weβre pretty sure thereβs still some more facts to be unearthed.Β But as of now, thereβs no other logical explanation for Green filing a lawsuit against the trio. The Sherp shall keep you updated.
February has proved to be a disastrous month for electronic gigs as Skrillex was sued by a fan for stage diving, Β Hardwellβs Belfast performance was stained by alcohol over consumption, and now this.
