This bloody rave is like a scene straight out of Carrie.
Amsterdam’s dance music events are a popular attraction for tourists from all around the world. The parties are endless and the nights are long. But this Halloween, Amsterdam will stage a one-of-a-kind ‘Blood Rave’ based on the opening sequence of the 1998 vampire movie Blade, starring Wesley Snipes.
According to the NL Times, this anonymous gathering is actually contemplating the use of real blood for the event. Their plan is to spice up Halloween, minus the pumpkins and trick-or-treat vibe. Here’s what the organizer of the event had to say:
“After a long search we have developed a special sprinkler system with pipes running across the ceiling and thus making us able to spray blood over the crowd. We’ve already tested it a number of times a substance resembling blood. It is pushing the borders, but we want to see how far we can go.”
Their Facebook page has no official venue or artist announcement but it does mention that it will go down from October 31 – November 2 somewhere in Amsterdam. Stay tuned to the Sherp to know more.
