RCHP is coming back to headline 2016’s Reading and Leeds Festival. It can’t get better than this.

After headlining the event in 2007, 1999 and 1994, Red Hot Chilli Peppers returns to top the bill yet again. The brilliant funk-rock band from California haven’t released any new music since their last album, I’m With You, in 2011. Frontman Flea has collaborated with artists like Thom Yorke and the Mars Volta in the past. Chad Smith, the band’s drummer, also revealed that the band was in the studio, completing their 11th album.

It’s safe to say the audience at Reading and Leeds 2016 can expect new music, as well as some classic favourites from this incredible band. Organiser Melvin Benn is super-excited about RHCP’s set. “Their incredible live show will be an unforgettable headline performance at the UK’s biggest music festival,” he said. “We’ve still got some really exciting names to announce and I can’t wait to reveal the rest of the line up. It’s going to be our best year yet.”
