Where learning meets fun, literally.
The Under 25 Club is going to hold yet another amazing Under 25 Summit in 2017 in Bangalore for all the young adults out there in the country after they had a smashing year in 2016. This time around, it’s packed with a lot of interesting things to do over the four-day festival and we’ll tell you what you can look out for over there. The Under 25 Summit is presented by Asianet Newsable and Radio Indigo 91.9 and powered by Colors Infinity and IIDT Tirupati.
1. The festival itself.
The festival will be held from the 5th to the 8th of January and each day will have its own theme. The days will be organised in a way that few of the events will be located throughout the city to give it a more rounded experience. The venues this year will include The Humming Tree, NUMA Bengaluru, Church Street Social and a few others.
2. Do it all on Tech Day.
Day 1 will start off with a brilliant Tech Day, which is aptly named “ESC”. It will feature loads of cool electronic-related sessions as well as provide us with guided information on augmented dance, analog synthesis, data visualisation, virtual reality (YESS!) and a special session by Krish Ashok called ‘Hacks of the Trade’.
3. ICYMI, there’s also CMYK.
“CMYK” i.e. Design Day will be one filled with learning. Get some dope on illustrations with a workshop by book illustrator Khushnaz Lala, who will talk about creating your own characters and her new book “I’m with Silly”. Taxi Fabric’s Sanket Avlani will hold a session that will be an eye-opener for designers as it involves exploring ideas through taxi fabric art.
4. All aboard the food train!
Food is the only priority on “Gravy Train” day a.k.a Food Day. With good acoustic music in the background and plenty of food stalls calling out your name, it’s going to be a treat! All the stalls are designed to be bogies and will have tea, coffee and vada pav vendors strolling around various location to make it a more authentic railway ride. Also, DJs will be spinning some dance tracks, so don’t get your stomachs too full.
5. The speakers are impressive.
The summit will have some eminent personalities who will be addressing the crowd, 200+ to be precise. Kenny Sebastian, Reshma Qureshi, Arnab Goswami, Kenishaa Francis, Tanmay Bhat, Mallika Dua, Nihal Raj are just a few names to keep in mind. So, expect the topics to be as different as the speakers themselves!
6. All those experience zones.
The festival will have over 50 experience zones including some like Speed Networking, Pop-Up Library, Facebook Live Zone, Pop-Up Studio, Open Mic Stage and the Travel Diaries Stage on all four days of the event. Make sure you check out all the possible spots to participate in them all.
7. Learning made uber-cool.
The Summit will call on professionals like book illustrator Khushnaz Lala, Taxi Fabric’s Sanket Avlani, blogger Krish Ashok, cricketer Karun Nair and more, each of who will increase your spectrum of knowledge on various topics and also plant a few new ones in your creative mind.
8. The finale will be huge!
The final day will be extra special with musical performances by Lagori, Parvaaz, Skrat and Fanculous. This will be the perfect end to the exciting and one-of-a-kind event that’s taking place for the younger crowd in the country. Don’t even try to miss it!
