1. Mat Zo started making his own music at the age of 8 and started composing MIDIs at the age of 11.
2. He has produced drum ‘n’ bass tracks under the pseudonym MRSA on Hospital Records.
3. His other pseudonyms are ‘Unripelemon’ and ‘Reif’.
4. When Mat was a teenager, he pursued his musical interests as a drummer and bassist of funk and rock bands.
5. He has been referred to as the heir to the Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats throne.
6. Mat once tried to negotiate a deal with Adidas which entailed a customized track-suit with flashing LED lights made especially for him.
7. Initially, ‘Easy’ was a smooth garage-style song by Mat Zo. But after he showed it to Porter Ronbinson, they decided to make it a big room anthem.
8. Mat Zo’s ultimate goal is to produce music for films.
9. When he turned 8, Mat’s dad bought him a guitar. And when he was about 5 years old, he used to bang away at his xylophone while watching Fantasia.
