The music relief concert that will contribute the funds towards the Uttarakhand victims’ aid.
The Uttarakhand catastrophe may be over, but the grieving impact still lingers. You For Uttarakhand is partnering with blueFROG to support Save The Children India, a non-profit organization which is actively working towards providing support to those affected by the disaster.
Utilizing the strengthening power of music, a crowd-sourced music relief concert will be held, which will contribute all the gate entry funds to aid in relief measures for the Uttarakhand victims. All the monetary proceeds gathered through ticket sales or other activities will be entirely donated to support the victims.
Stephanie Fernandes, who is currently a copywriter with Taproot India, is the brain behind this initiative. She was really eager to help the victims of the Uttarakhand tragedy. To spread the word of her idea, she created a Facebook page and a Twitter account. Here’s what Stephanie had to say:
“Going by the response so far from bands & fans alike, I see an opportunity to extend this initiative into a series of events. And I am currently looking at a second venue and date too.”
The line-up for the concert includes the following artists who have generously volunteered to be a part of this initiative – Blackstratblues, Spud in the Box, The Other People, The Siddharth Basrur Project, Square Roots and Ryan Dias.
