sLick! is bringing down Spanish DJ and producer Henry Saiz to India this September!
Saiz’s style is undoubtedly like no other. Born in Madrid, Henry came to the attention of John Digweed in 2009. His remix of Guy J’s ‘Lamur’ was released on the Bedrock label (Digweed is one of the founders of this label). Henry’s own record label, Natura Sonoris (Nature of Sound), serves as a platform for his own productions as well as those of upcoming artists.
Saiz’s sounds are difficult to describe but simple to enjoy. Even though his first studio album released this year, he released his first official single back in 2006. Since then, he has been building a loyal fan base by honing his craft. He truly believes that electronic music can and should have a message. Saiz’s open-minded approach gives his productions the rich and deep atmospherics.
Henry’s style can be described as melodic-hypnotic house, analogue techno and retro-futuristic pop. His connection with nature and his surroundings influence his album’s sonics. He forges a perfect balance of electronica, house, disco and techno by taking in influence on many different levels and incorporating it into his live and DJ sets.
