A video has surfaced online showing true “rockstar” behaviour from Oasis, a band that was almost completely unknown at the time.
The video is a recording of Oasis‘ Glastonbury performance, a month before they dropped their debut album Definitely Maybe. The album might have led them to become rockstars later but they sure acted like that much before they become famous. The performance features Liam and Noel Gallagher, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Paul “Guigsy” McGuigan and Tony MacCarroll being completely nonchalant and disinterested with the gig.
Though Oasis drew a sizeable crowd, with only two singles ‘Shakermaker’ and ‘Supersonic’, the bands fan base was relatively small and the fact that Liam didn’t care about the audience or the lyrics did nothing to help. This behaviour might have fit in if they were on the mainstage but for an opening act on a side stage, it is utterly bizarre especially when Noel just walks off the stage before the set ends.
