Dillon Francis got the desi flavour just right in this new remix.Β

American DJ and record producer, Dillon Francis, is all set to hit the Vh1 Supersonic stage on Friday 9th February 2018, and his Indian connection is going strong way before he can even land in the sub continent. One of the hottest tracks this season, “Bom Diggy”, originally performed by British-Indian singers Zack Knight and Jasmin Walia, has a new makeover courtesy Dillon Francis.

The song was originally released in Fall 2017 as part of Saavn’s global artist development program, Artist Originals (AO). By November, the track was #1 on iTunes India download charts and has continued to remain in the Top 10. The track was also the first Indian song to be featured in Snapchat’s partnered music Lens in India.

Though the track is already quite heavy on electronic elements, Dillon manages to make it more electric than before while retaining the Indian influences on the original track. Check it out here.

The American DJ has also been working on a Spanish dance album and has been making trips to Caribbean, Mexico and South America in order to capture the truest sounds to build a genuine album. His remix of “Mi Gente” by J Balvin and Willy William was a glimpse into the DJ’s experimentation with Latin music. Β
