For those of you who love cruise ships and music, you’re in for a treat!

A festival on a ship is a pretty unique experience if you’re tired of the same old festivals on land. It’s a different vibe altogether, and most of these cruises sail to islands where they have some more small parties.

The Sherp has scoured the Internet for the best and the biggest cruise ship festivals in existence, and we have 7 of them for you right here.

1. Jam Cruise

Don’t forget to get your best festival costumes along for this one, because theme nights are a tradition at Jam Cruise. Apart from that, there’s a whole lot of music on Jam Cruise with stellar lineups, workshops, yoga at sea, excursions in the Caribbean and much more. Their beer program Brews At Sea is pretty impressive, ensuring party goers get their dose of beer whenever they want. Jam Cruise happens in the month of January on the Norwegian Pearl, in the Caribbean region.

2. The Rock Boat

From Tampa to Belize, Mexico and Harvest Caye, The Rock Boat is one hell of a journey to look out for. With some cool rock and alternative bands on the lineup, theme nights, hot tubs, spas, a fitness center, a full-size sports court and a video arcade, you won’t get bored on The Rock Boat at all. The Rock Boat happens sometime in February.

3. ShipRocked

2017 will mark ShipRocked’s 8th anniversary, and they’ve already commissioned a new ship called Carnival Victory. With bands like Breaking Benjamin and Papa Roach headlining next year’s edition, it’s bound to be good. Also, there’ll be comedy, rock n’ roll, a casino, mini golf, a fitness centre, a jogging track and much more. ShipRocked’s cruise starts and ends at Miami, with a stopover at Grand Turk Island.

4. Holy Ship!

Norwegian Epic is the ship that’ll host this massive electronic music festival in the sea, and it’ll now be two 4-day extravaganzas in January, with two stops in the beautiful Bahamas. Their fans are lovingly called the Shipfam, and has had some of the biggest DJs and producers on the lineup before. The back-to-back edition of Holy Ship! will happen in January.

5. Monsters Of Rock Cruise

From Tampa to Mexico and back, the Monsters Of Rock Cruise will be 6 days of madness in February 2017. With some amazing rock to set the mood, MORC will take place on a mammoth cruise called Brilliance Of The Seas, which has 16 bars and lounges, a nine-story central atrium and incredible restaurants. MORC will also have jacuzzis, casinos and the usual goodies that a cruise ship festival offers.

6. Inception At Sea

Come March, Inception At Sea will set sail from Miami to the Bahamas, for some insane private parties. You’ll get access to all kinds of food and beverage packages, and some cool alcohol packages if you’re above 21 years of age. The 2016 edition has an aftermovie coming up, and Inception At Sea uploaded a trailer for the same. There have been no lineup announcements yet, but we’re pretty sure they’re going to drop a killer one.

7. It’s The Ship!

The biggest cruise party to happen on Asian seas, It’s The Ship has really set the bar high for ship festivals. Its ticket prices cater to both ends of the spectrum; you’ve got reasonable ticket prices for general admission, and a special “Ultimate Baller” package for people who want a full-blown VIP experience. The lineup for the 2016 edition in November hasn’t been announced yet, but given the past lineups, we’re sure ITS will have a huge headliner. It’ll depart from Singapore and sail to a beach party in Langkawi before heading back.
