Players traverse side-scrolling levels at high speeds while collecting rings and defeating enemies. Sonic 2 introduces Sonic’s sidekick, Miles “Tails” Prower,Β  which can be controlled by a second player. It features faster gameplay and larger levels in comparison to the first game, in addition to a new multiplayer game mode and special stages featuring pseudo-3D graphics. It is one of the best retro games from SEGA.

Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting

This is a competitive fighting game released for the arcade by Capcom in 1992. Hyper Fighting is the final arcade game in the Street Fighter II series to use the original CP System hardware. It is one of the most popular retro games out there.

Hyper Fighting features a faster playing speed compared to Champion Edition. As a result, the inputs for special moves and combos require more precise timing. The faster playing speed also allowed players to get into battle quicker, as well as to react quicker. All of the fighters, with the exception of Guile and the four Shadaloo Bosses, were each given at least one new special move.
