PC or Console? This battle has been going on for a long time and has divided gamers. Each side has their opinions on why to choose their side but here are few points which will help you choose which one is better for you.
Types Of PCs and Consoles
While speaking of gaming PCs, people often forget that gaming laptops exist too. Laptops are way more convenient than an entire gaming setup as they can run without electricity and can also be carried anywhere. But gaming pc is better in the long run as changes can be made easily to the hardware. Gaming laptops often feature underpowered components as it is tough to keep a gaming laptop running cool when both the CPU and GPU are under heavy load in a cramped chassis.
There’s not much variety in consoles as the only ones in the market are from Sony(PlayStation), Microsoft( Xbox), and Nintendo. PlayStation and Xbox is packed with more hardware specs than the Nintendo.
Price
Gaming PC is way more expensive than consoles as the PS5 and Xbox Series X costs only $399-$499 which is the starting price of a budget pc. A console can last easily up to 7-8 years and you don’t have to worry about compatibility issues or anything for a long time and can enjoy games without any issues.
PC on the other side requires upgrades to not face any compatibility issues and prices are very high… depending on which component and of which company you go for.
So if you want to stick with the same hardware and a cost effective option then console is for you.
But if you want to play games on the up to date hardware and budget is not a problem for you then PC is the way to go.
