Steve Aoki, also an avid gamer, is investing in an Overwatch and CS.

EDM producer, DJ and Dim Mak Records founder Steve Aoki said during live streaming expo TwitchCon that he has invested in Overwatch and Counter-Strike team, Rogue. Aoki will be involved in managerial and brand development areas of the organization, which launched in May, as it continues to grow.

Steve was quoted saying: “As many of my fans know, I’ve been a gamer all my life and have been getting more and more involved in e-sports. I can finally take my love for gaming to the next level as an owner of Rogue, the professional e-sports team.”

“As an avid player of Overwatch, their dominance caught my eye and after getting to know them, I realised that we shared the same goals and interests in team building and competition.”

This isn’t Steve’s  first time to delve into gaming either, as in July he was confirmed to be providing music and his likeness to a non-playable character in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.

Rogue is a young organisation, having only been founded earlier in 2016. It has, however, already had some success in Overwatch tournaments, placing first at the recent 2016 ESL Overwatch Atlantic Showdown at Gamescom. Rogue also has a fledgling CS:GO team as well.

Aoki is an active member of the Street Fighter community, as well as performing in various gaming events since 2013.
