Hey guys, this is going to be your first gig in India as a duo after having individually performed here a number of times. What is it that you love about India that makes you guys keep coming back for more?

India has such an amazing vibe. It has a great, colourful culture and the clubbers really know how to have a good time.

We’re curious to know, who does most of the mixing when you perform live?

We both do! New World Punx is a team effort and we both prepare for our sets and have a blast taking turns at each record but if Markus needs to mix in a secondΒ track for the flow of the set (or me for that matter) then so be it.

As a duo, how difficult is it to juggle your individual careers with your collaborative ones?

I think it’s easy because we both came together with the same concept and ideas in mind. New World Punx is a fresh way to express ourselves artistically as a new name but one on one, Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz are two different artistes.

Β

You both must be familiar with Indian cuisine by now. What’s your favourite desi delicacy?

Butter chicken… but I think it’s chicken Korma.

What’s been the biggest challenge with the NWP project? What do you think it takes to become a successful duo in the industry?

The biggest challenge is to get the best in each artiste and combine it into something even more amazing. Markus and I and have a great work ethic and know when to push and pull so it’s been easy to work with each other and make the most out of this partnership.

Festival Five
If you had to get married at a festival, which one would it be and why?

Ferry Corsten: Stereosonic.. because I have a lot of good memories from that festival

Who/what is your favorite festival buddy? Tell us why.

Ferry Corsten: Markus… I love that guy. He is really fun to be with.

A festival you would consider being sober at?

Ferry Corsten: Any UK festival… it rains quite often there so it would be best to be sober walking around the fields there…unless you like getting yourself all muddy.

If you could take only 3 things to a festival, what would they be and why?

Ferry Corsten: Headphones, USB stick, and my phone… I wouldn’t be able to do my job.

Name a festival you would consider attending alone. Tell us why.

Ferry Corsten: Tomorrowland…there’s so much to see.

After last year’s incredible debut outing atΒ Ambay Valley, expectations were high regarding the 2014 line-up of the picturesque festival. Needless to say, it did not disappoint. Check out the rest of the line-upΒ HERE.
