Two of the most beautiful musicians in the electro scene take time out to talk to The Sherp.
Sherp: The best bed you’ve ever slept in?
Lucy: My own of course.
Cat: Mine! You can’t beat your own bed, especially when you’ve been away from it for a while.
Sherp: One thing you can’t leave home without?
Lucy: iPhone
Cat: Er…shoes! And I nearly always carry a bottle of water.
Sherp: Biggest inspiration in your life?
Lucy: My mother
Cat: Each week I take my Sax and work in a local school. All the children there are profoundly disabled and inspire me every time I play for them!
Sherp: Weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
Lucy: My primary school dinners.
Cat: Cupuacu! It’s from the inside of the cocoa bean I think. It’s a very ‘unique’ flavor!
Sherp: Biggest fail behind the console?
Lucy: Dropping my headphones onto the vinyl that was playing.
Cat: Getting hit in the face with somebody’s shoe that flew off when they were dancing.
Sherp: Best moment behind the console?
Lucy: Playing Es Paradis – Ibiza, for the first time!
Cat: Not behind the console, but probably still has to be playing at the Royal Albert Hall in 2009!
Sherp: Happiest moment of your life?
Lucy: Tough one. Either the first time I played at Pacha or when I was invited to play for hed Kandi.
Cat: Landing in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at the start of a trip of a lifetime
Sherp: What would you be if you weren’t an artist/musician/DJ?
Lucy: I’m also a fully trained makeup artist. Or probably a wonderful mother like mine.
Cat: A teacher (I was!)
Sherp: If you had a superpower, what would it be?
Lucy: Superpower? To give others the power of hearing. Or….invisibility. That would be quite funny.
Cat: Time travel so I could skip boring bits
Sherp: Top 3 tracks on your iPod right now?
Lucy: You’ll have to wait and see. 🙂
Cat: Lalala (Naughty boy feat. Sam Smith)
The Circle (Ocean Colour Scene)
Skylark (Linda Rondstadt!)
