Gary Richards a.k.a DESTRUCTO is a man who wears many hats, heβs an amazing DJ and Producer, music executive and CEO and Co-Founder of HARD events. He is the man who created EDC in 1992 , and captained the incredible Holy Ship. At EDC NY, he and his friends took over the CosmicMEADOW stage to bring the HARD experience to the East Coast. Β The stage hosted extremely talented artists like Bassnectar, Nero, Boys Noize &Β Rudimental. The Sherp was humbled to meet DESTRUCTO for a quick chat at EDC NY:

Wet, Loud and Exciting.
How did you come up with the idea for Holy Ship! ?
I was on a cruise with my friends and I thought to myself it would be amazing to have a whole ship filled with awesome people who love music.

Is the Holy Ship concept going international any time soon?
Yes, Europe along the Mediterranean Coast.
What is your opinion on electronic music in India? Do you plan on bringing the Holy Ship experience to India ?
Iβve heard that there is a lot of potential for growth for electronic music in India. Iβd love to bring the Holy Ship experience to India if the conditions are right.

If you had to get married at a festival, which one would it be and why?
Burning Man.

HARD.
