Here’s the Sherp’s take on Moguai’s performance in Mumbai last week!

Another night at the hottest club in Mumbai, and The Sherp was first to arrive at the scene. This time, it was German producer Moguai who was handed the task of entertaining the city that never sleeps. Although this was not the first time he came down to the subcontinent, there was a healthy vibe around his arrival, and previous listeners know what the German is really capable of.

As usual, The Sherp checked in to Club Royalty at 11 pm. By that time, the club was already reverberating to the tunes of opening act Aditya Wanwari. This time around, he played some superb mash-ups and the track history ranged from artists like Pryda to Knife Party to Linkin Park, among an array of other latest tracks which kept the crowd on its feet.

The smoke cannons and laser lighting at Club Royalty were in full flow as the German arrived behind the decks at about 12.15 a.m. Greeted with loud cheers and thumping claps, the energy around the club could not be ignored. This was going to be one sick night! Moguai began the initial section of his set by playing some of his newest tunes such as ‘PunkOmat’ & ‘Champs’. He stuck to his vintage style of perfectly blending the old and new in house music, with a little spray of some strictly electronic sections. But the crowd craved for more, and he did not disappoint. Soon enough, he dropped his biggest tune to date, the unmistakable ‘Mammoth’ created in collaboration with Belgian rockstars Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. This particular track injected the entire place with a palpable energy.  Following soon were tracks such as Ummet Ozcan’s ‘Here & Now and the globally acclaimed ‘Atom’ by Nari & Milani. The night raged on as Moguai dropped one banger after another, keeping the crowd energized, including the bartenders who were spotted grooving to the German’s tunes!

Another night at Club Royalty capped off expertly by Germany’s rising electronic producer.  A big shout out to Deep Sound Entertainment for bringing down such a class act!

The Sherp also had a chat with Moguai before the gig. Click here to read what he had to say.
