The good people at Red Bull India come with presents. Big, shiny and loud presents – on wheels!

Yep, you guessed it. The Red Bull Tour bus has arrived in India and will be launched this October to kick off its national tour.
On the 5th of October, at Mumbai’s Wilson Gymkhana, The Red Bull Tour Bus will feature some of India’s favourite homegrown artists like Swarathma, Scribe, The Supersonics and Dualist Inquiry Band. The launch is going to be hosted by local funnyman Rohan Joshi and will also feature some popular new talent like Nischay Parekh and Spud InThe Box.

SO, WHAT IS THE RED BULL TOUR BUS EXACTLY?
“The first of its kind in India, Red Bull Tour Bus transforms into a complete sound stage. The bus was built beam by beam from a chassis. Taking approximately 2250 man-hours to build, it converts into a concert stage fully equipped with a sound system, lights and everything else needed for that awesome gig experience. When it hits the road, it features a gaming console, a flat screen TV, a mini work station, eight bunk beds, twelve seats, a combination of hardwood floors and an equipment storage area. In an estimated 3-4 hours, the bus transforms from a typical 36-foot-long vehicle to a full out custom rock stage.”

If you can’t catch the bus at the launch, don’t fret. In an effort to expose fans to emerging new music the bus will double as one of the stages at all four of this year’s Bacardi NH7 Weekenders.

The Supersonics of Kolkata will be travelling to the western cities of Ahmedabad and Nashik before pulling in for the Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Pune on the 19th-20th of October.

Dualist Inquiry Band, a three manned electronic band including Sahej Bakshi, Sandunes (Sanaya Ardeshir) and Jiver (Jivraj Singh) will be heading south to tour Manipal, Chennai and then stop at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Bangalore on the 23rd and 24th of November. Swarathma (originally from Bangalore) will take their folksy selves up north to Chandigarh and Mohali, making a pit stop  at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender in  New Delhi on the 30th of November and 1st December.

Scribe (Metal gurus, famous for their ‘I love Pav Bhaji’ banger) will headline the Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Kolkata on the 14th and 15th of December.

Added bonus: www.tourbus.redbull.in has called for entries from bands across the country for a chance to play on the bus at one of the four Bacardi NH7 Weekenders and over 300 bands have already applied. Check out tourbus.redbull.in for the latest on information of the bands that will be handpicked to play the Red Bull Tour Bus stage.
