Much to our collective disappointment, the much-anticipated international act of Bacardi NH7 Weekender: Delhi β Nile Rodgers wonβt be able to perform this weekend. Everyone was looking forward to the American artist who recently collaborated with Daft Punk on their album Random Access Memories. This year, Nile Rodgers has also worked with some other bigwigs of dance music like Disclosure, Chase & Status ( who incidentally headlined the Pune Weekender)Β and Avicii.
Earlier today, Bacardi NH7 Weekender posted this on their Facebook page:
We deeply regret to inform you that we have had to cancel Nile Rodgers’ performance in Delhi because of visa issues faced by key crew members. The management and Chic tried very hard to make this happen, in spite of a grueling touring schedule, but unfortunately, things didn’t work out in time. We are currently working with the management to reschedule these tour dates for later. The fantastic Manganiyar Seduction by Roystel Abel will headline The Dewarists instead.
Well, letβs not be disheartened. There still is Β a spectacular line-up to watch out for!
