The impressive FLOTUS has made quite an impression at SXSW, with all the singing and joking. Michelle Obama also enthralled the crowd during her panel on women education and empowerment!
The crowd let out a long sigh when she said that she had no intention of running for President, though she voiced her opinions vocally on current issues related to girls’ education.
According to Portland Press Herald, her reason of not running for President was her two daughters, stating that they handled their father’s Presidential tenure with grace and poise, but the time had finally come to move on.
She did mention the fact that “time is almost up” before breaking into a song by Boyz II Men, “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday.”
Michelle stayed as away as possible from hot topics. Her SXSW appearance was a week after President Obama’s session on civic engagement, which also marked the first time a sitting POTUS has ever made an appearance at SXSW.
Also a part of the panel were influential musicians Queen Latifah and Missy Elliott, who contributed to what the First Lady said on the panel. From the looks of it, the panel seems to have been very informative and entertaining!
