The Indian media has been going bonkers ever since Justin Bieber was announced to play in Mumbai city on 12th May this year. But now, things are a lot more interesting. After marking his India debut last year with Sunburn Arena, it looks like Marshmello is revisiting the country.

According to this creative, the DJ will be Bieber’s ‘special guest’ when he plays for thousands of his fans at DY Patil Stadium in Nerul, Mumbai. Last year, Marshmello opened for Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike during their Sunburn Arena gig and even belted out a couple of Indian hits like ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’, much to the crowd’s surprise and enthusiasm. He also opted to wear a kurta, going full desi for his desi audience. We can’t wait to see what surprises he brings back on 12th May.

Meanwhile, Justin Bieber’s arrival to the country opens up a door of opportunities for Indian audiences to watch the biggest artists in the world perform on our home turf. Although Coldplay performed last year at the Global Citizen Festival India, many saw it as a one-time lucky moment. But it seems like it was just the beginning with much more to come.
