The twerk trinity spearheaded by Diplo will hit Indian shores for the first time as part of the VH1 Supersonic Arcade
Remember the Major Lazer invitation event production company Oji sent out last year? Well, the #ChutneyHype is officially going to take over India this December as electronic group Major Lazer have been confirmed as the next artistes to play at the VH1 Supersonic Arcade.
Comprising legendary producer Diplo, Moombahton head Jillionaire and Walshy Fire, Major Lazer is a musical project that fuses numerous genres – primarily reggae, electro and trap. Formerly composed of Diplo and British DJ Switch, who left the group following ‘creative differences’ with Diplo, the trio’s unique sound and stage presence makes them one of the most entertaining acts in the electronic music circuit.
VH1 Supersonic and Oji made the announcement on their social media portals this morning, check out the video:

December 12 – Mumbai

December 14 – Bangalore
While the venues stand unannounced, tickets for the event will be available for purchase from October 1. Stay tuned to this space for further updates on the same.
