Day 2 of Lollapalooza did not disappoint. Headliner Sam Smith made sure he gave a performance worth remembering, especially with his tribute to Amy Winehouse.
Headliners at Chicago Grant Park upped the ante on the second day of the festival, and Sam Smith garnered a roar of approval with his dedication to Amy Winehouse, which he introduced with a “This is for you, Amy.”

Smith paid homage to many of his idols, performing renditions of “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”, Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love” and Chic’s “Le Freak, and possiblyΒ had his biggest moment when he finished his covers-ladenΒ set with “Stay With Me”. Sam Smith, along with Metallica, provided the punch needed to finish Day 2 of Lollapalooza on a soaring high note.
