Not too long after that, Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks performed at the fifth edition of the Quiet Music Festival Of Portland. The band paid tribute toΒ Nirvana with an opening cover of “Come As You Are,” and other songs by the Minutemen, Pink Floyd and Chad & Jeremy.Β The entire set consisted of βre-arranged songs, one-off covers, and deep rarities from the depths of our catalog,β according to Jicks’ keyboardist Mike Clark. The entire performance was captured on analog 2-track 1/4β³ tape and with the newly releasedΒ recordings, fans can enjoyΒ Stephen’s take on these hits.
