We’re living in an age of fighting robots, so this really shouldn’t come as a surprise. Japanese festivalΒ Odaiba Yume Tairiku Dream Mega Natsu Matsuri, which translates to,Β Odaiba Dream Continent Dream Mega Summer Festival (quite a mouthful, this one) allows festival attendees to control this massive robot, at least for a while.
Taguchi Industrial Co., the creators of the robot, happen to have a stall at the festival, enabling this crazyΒ occurrenceΒ to happen. This 33,000 pound robot, isn’t only awesome to look at, it has been configured to cut, crush and pulverizeΒ Guzzilla scissor-handed appendages faster than you can say Optimus Prime.
But like every revolutionary robot, it has a soft side, which it gaily expresses through its love for J-Pop. Watch it jam toΒ AKB48βs βHeavy Rotationβ in the video below.
