Tell us about your family and where you grew up. What music was being played around you when you were say 10-12 years old?

I’m the youngest member of the family,Born in Tehran- Iran. I have 1 brother & two sisters, they all live in Australia. My parents live in Tehran. When I was 10-12 years old I remember everyone loved listening to Michael Jackson, Madonna, Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd or some famous Iranian pop singers.

How did you first get into dance music? Who were your early influences?

When I was a kid I loved break dancing & loved listening to Hip Hop & Breaks. I remember spending many hours at home in order to master a dance move :)). I was always surrounded by mixers, mics, and other studio goodies, after several years I started listening to Sasha & Digweed, Steve Lawler, Danny Tenaglia & Global Underground albums, those were my early influences and that’s how I discovered dance music.

How did you score your first ever gig?

My first international gig was at RBMA in Barcelona in 2008, I think i did a good job, I was very nervous but I believe I received a good reaction from the crowd so I think I passed the test 🙂

What have been some of your best gigs and venues to play at?

Moog Barcelona, Ministry of Sound Malaysia, Uberhaus Beirut, I’m sure I’ll add more to this list after my Global Underground world tour.

What was the experience at RBMA like?

Amazing, I got to meet lots of great artists and managed to spend some time in the studio with them best I used some of the best studio gears including Moog synths.

If you were to list 3 most valuable things you took away from the RBMA experience, what would they be?

Motivation, Inspiration, friendship.

Did your Iranian background influence your musical tastes in any way? If so.. How?

No not really.

What are your expectations of India?

I believe in Karma and I think you have that a lot in India, and lots of gorgeous places to visit.

Anything you’re looking forward to doing while you’re here?

Sight seeing, Meditation & Yoga, I might also try ear candling who knows ?

Tell us about your obsessions. Are they collecting sneakers, watches or an unhealthy fascination for cheeseburgers?

You just named two of my obsessions. I like sneakers and watches. I’m also very much into latest technology so whenever I see something new I just add that to my ‘Must Have’ list.

If you had one superpower, what would that be?

May be I could help people laugh more or give them proper motivation. I wish I could stop poverty!

The top 5 tunes on your playlist over the past 2 months?
