The rock scene in the country can finally rejoice, as Fourth Dimension Media and Farhad Wadia are bringing back the oldest and most popular rock festival in the country, Independence Rock.
Independence Rock has helped bands like Indus Creed, Parikrama,Β Zero, Pentagram, Motherjane, Them Clones, Demonic Resurrection and Pin Drop Violence taste success and connect with their fans. The festival has always been a platform to showcase fresh new talent in the scene, and will continue to do so this year with extensive auditions in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata and, for the first time in 27 years, Chennai.Β TheΒ finals will be held in Mumbai during the first week of September.
There have been more than 800 entries this year, and apart from a cash prize, there are chances of the winner landing up a deal with a record label to release a track, which sounds very exciting. We can’t wait for this year’s edition to take place!
