Dhanachuli and Nainital will soon be home to a litfest of your dreams. This area has always had a special relationship with literature in India, and has even been home to several famous writers in history. The festival has a lot of interesting seminars and discussions on topics like forgotten legends of Indian cinema, ‘The jungle lore of Jim Corbett’ by Suhel Seth, role of women in ancient India, and Hindustani poetry connecting the common man to literature. Its supporting publishers are some of India’s most loved brands in literature, like Amar Chitra Katha, Tinkle and Karadi Tales.

Planned and conceptualised by Sumant Batra and Barkha Dutt, and powered by four women, KLF is supported by UN Women, and hopes to break boundaries between locals and literature.

If this sounds like a dream come true, it might be time to book your tickets to Uttarakhand and make your way to these gorgeous locations to tickle your brain.
