We will see the kind soul at GOAT Festival in Goa this month!

The British DJ, record collector and record label owner from London gave away a lot of records to charity shops in North London.

Recently, The Guardian launched a new Facebook Live series that gave journalist Kate Hutchinson the chance to look into the lives of the most popular record-collectors in the UK. So, Kate joined Gilles Peterson to reveal his most treasured record collections in an interactive Live episode. As we all know, the record collector has a collection of more than 50000 records across three different locations in London.

Gilles informed that while cleaning up for this New Year, he cleared out more than 100 of his collectable records to donated them to charity shops in and around his area in North London. He also shared anecdotes of his life, such as tales of signing Terry Collier, The Roots and Dayme Arocena, and declared his ambitious New Year’s resolution that will, hopefully, make him re-arrange his 50000 record collection alphabetically according to the labels’ name instead of the previously sorted artist names.
